Malak is a Senior Psychosocial Counselor with a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of Jordan and an MSc in Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University. Since 2013, she has provided trauma-focused psychosocial support to individuals affected by war, natural disasters, and loss through both individual and group therapy. Malak is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety and personality disorders from the Beck Institute. She also holds Training of Trainers certifications in Problem Management Plus (WHO) and Age-Inclusive Humanitarian Interventions. In addition, Malak designs and delivers self-care and staff care trainings for individuals and organizations.
